The Charlton Snowmobile Club was started in1971 and  Inc. in 1973. The club maintains and grooms 51 miles of trail from Coons Crossing near Round Lake, north and west along the Zim Smith multi use trail, near  Ballston Lake, westerly  through the Village of Charlton and continuing west toward Amsterdam and northwest through the towns of Galway and Broadalbin to the Sacandaga Resevoir.
Club meetings are held at the Charlton Freehold Presbytarian Church in Charlton  first Tuesday of the month [with the exception of election day when the meeting moves to the next day; Wednesday], from October through April.
The Club trails exist only due to the generous donation of the use of public and private property by our landowners. When you ride, remember it is a priviledge, not a right.TRAIL

All trails remain closed due to lack of snow. Please be patient and wait for more snow. Respect our landowners by not riding on this thin snow/ice base. Thank you for your cooperation.

The TRAIL Between CHASE VLY ROAD and Rt.29 Behind Mary Ann's is CLOSED for the season.

The trail is rerouted to Chase Vly Road north to Route 29 and then east to Mary Ann's.

Thank you to Brian Feeney for cutting a new trail on his property to keep the trail open near Middleline Rd. He also built a new bridge with lumber donated by Curtis Lumber. Thank you to Curtis for this donation.

Charlton Presbyterian Church Parking Lot Closed For Snowmobiles

The church will no longer be available to park our trucks and trailers to ride the Charlton Snowmobile Trail. A recent rerouting of the trail behind the church has taken us away from the church property. The landowner has altered the access to their property due to safety concerns.
